Father’s Day BBQ Preparation
Join us at Milliken Wesleyan Methodist Church for our Father’s Day BBQ celebration! Bring your family and friends as we come together for a wonderful time of food, fellowship, and celebration.
We are also looking for volunteers to help prepare and serve at the BBQ on June 21st, 2026 after Sunday Service. If you are interested in helping, please contact the church staff so we can make this another great celebration at Milliken.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
VBS will return July 14-17, 2026. This year’s theme is “What’s Cookin’“ in the Lord’s kitchen this summer! Volunteers are needed! Please e-mail jessica.padmore@millikenchurch.org to sign up.
If you are not a child, you are invited to volunteer! There is a list in the gym for you to look at and register. Please email jessica.padmore@millikenchurch.org to sign up or clarify.
Registration has already started, and the first five to register will receive a special prize. Everyone else who registers before the Early Bird ends on Sunday, May 31 @ 11:59 pm, your child gets a prize at the end of the VBS week! Registration ends Tuesday, June 30 @ 11:59 pm.

VBS Celebration Potluck
To celebrate the conclusion of Vacation Bible School (VBS), we will host a church-wide potluck on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Church members are encouraged to bring a dish to share as we gather in fellowship and celebrate with our children what God has done through VBS. This event will also provide an opportunity to invite VBS families, community members, and visitors to connect with our church family.
Special Milliken Mug at Milliken Church
A beautiful mug with the collaboration of Milliken Church and Gloria Pickersgill has been created to give as a welcoming gift to those who visit the church. Our prayer is that every sip will remind you that you are the reason Jesus resurrected. If you would like to purchase a mug you may email Gloria Pickersgill at gloria.pickersgill@millikenchurch.org .

Fundraising For Jamaica at Milliken Church
We are supporting Sister Gloria Pickersgill in her fundraising efforts.
The proceeds from this initiative will go toward assisting a single mother of five children in Manchester, Jamaica, who has been severely impacted by Hurricane Melissa. Now that it has hit the rainy season, your support will help provide essential needs such as food and shelter(roof repairs) for her children during this difficult time.
Donations may be placed in an envelope marked “Jamaica” along with your full name and contact information.

Chimes
Our Chimes Team has done a great job, and is getting a well-deserved break. The next season will begin again in August.
Choir Rehearsal
Choir Rehearsal is on hold for Pastor Aza’s time of bereavement. An announcement will be made when the Choir Rehearsal resumes. Thank you for your consideration and patience.
Bible Study Groups
Sunday School takes place on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 am.
Wednesday’s online Bible Study will be on hold for the summer break. Ladies Morning Bible Study takes place on Thursdays at 10:30 am at Milliken Church.

Best Years Fellowship Summer Trip
Best Years Fellowship Annual Trip is back on, but will be a Summer one instead of a Spring one. It will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, and we will depart Milliken Church at 8:00 am.
We will be visiting the Muskoka Discovery Centre and enjoying a cup of coffee. Then we will jump on board the Wenonah II Steamship enjoying the view with a special luncheon (Roast Turkey, Baked Trout, or Stuffed Pepper for our vegetarian friends) cruising the Lake Muskoka. After disembarkation, we will visit the Mariposa Market Bakery in Orillia. We will be returning from Orillia at around 4:00 pm. If the Lord is Willing a smooth traffic-less drive, we should be back to Church around 6:00 pm.
Cost is just $195.00 per person, which includes the Motorcoach Transportation, Guided Tour of the Discovery Centre with Coffee included, the 2.5 hours luncheon cruise, all taxes, meal tips, and fuel surcharges. Special World Cup Outreach
Join us for a special World Cup Outreach event at Toronto Pearson Airport! On June 12th, 2026 at 6:20 pm – 7:10 pm located at Terminal 1, Toronto Pearson Airport Arrivals.
We have been given a platform to perform and connect with people from around the world during this exciting World Cup season. This is a wonderful opportunity to share encouragement, faith, and community with travelers and visitors.

Breakout Youth Festival
Milliken Church would like to invite everyone to attend the Breakout Youth Festival hosted by Abundance in Christ Church. On July 17th, 2026 at 4:00 pm. This festival is located on Sankofa Square, 1 Dundas St. E., Toronto, ON M5B 2R8

Milliken Church Shadow Meal Drive
A BIG Thank You to everyone who took part in the Shadow Meal Drive. Together, we raised $1,765 for RISE Community Support. Please continue to pray for this ministry, and we have not stopped supporting them. If the LORD moves you, bring in your material donations and we will pass it on to them, or you can deliver it directly to them.

Our Prayer group is asking everyone with prayer needs to place their requests in the prayer request box so they will be remembered in our weekly prayer meeting. We are here to pray with you and for you. May the Lord encourage you to bring your requests to His altar in Jesus’ name.

Amroth Building Renovation
The renovations are currently on hold in the Amroth Education Wing. Adam Montessori School and the contractor are still working hard to move forward with these renovations to update and modify some of our spaces to serve the childcare program better.
Please Note: The gym and the kitchen will not be affected, and Rooms A3 and A4 have been reopened. However, until further notice, Room A6 will remain unavailable.
We understand the delay is challenging, but please remember the heart behind this: these renovations are all about making the building more useful, more welcoming, and better equipped to serve both ministry and community needs. We are grateful for your patience and flexibility as we walk through this together. Thank you for your continued support and for helping us see this building not just as walls and rooms, but as a resource God has given us to bless and serve others.
