Local Church Conference
Our Local Church Conference will take place on May 20th at 7:00 pm. Please mark your calendar, as we are looking forward to seeing Milliken Congregation there.

Holy Week Rehearsals 2026
- Palm Sunday Rehearsal for our Children & Youth will take place on Saturday, March 28 @ 9:30am
- The Hand Chimes will be rehearsing on Monday, March 30 @7:00pm and Tuesday March 31 @ 6:30pm.
- The Platform Team will be rehearsing on Thursday, March 26 @ 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 31 @7:30 pm & Sunday, April 5 @8:30am.
- Maundy Thursday practice with TCCC’s Team will take place on Wednesday, April 1 @ 7 pm. Soundcheck will take place on Thursday, April 2 @ 5:30 pm.
- Milliken Choir will rehearse on Sunday, March 22 after Service (Today), Thursday, March 26 @7 pm, Saturday, April 4 @10:00am, and Sunday, April 5, 9:15am.
Bible Study Groups
- Sunday School takes place on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 am.
- This week will be the last week the Wednesday online Bible study be moved to Thursday at 7:30pm to make way for the mid-week services during Lent. Next week, it will return to their regular schedule of Wednesdays at 7:30 pm. Please make note of this adjustment to your calendars.
- Our Ladies Thursday Morning Bible Study will restart March 26th at 10:30 am.

Lenten Services
Our last Lenten Mid-Week Service will take place on Wednesdays, March 25 at 11:00 am & 7:00 pm. Holy Week Services will begin on Sunday, March 29 with the Palm Sunday Morning Service, followed by Joint Maundy Thursday Service on Thursday, April 2 at 7:00 pm, Good Friday Service on April 3 at 10:00 am, and Easter Sunday Morning Service on Sunday, April 5 at 10:10 am.
South Markham Seniors Circle
Attention Milliken Seniors 65 + and those located in South Markham there is an 8 week program being held at Milliken Church with a special focus on the Black Caribbean and South Asian Residents. If you are interested in nutrition, tech safety, and financial security? Or if you are interested in trying chair yoga or painting you are welcome to join. If you are interested in learning how to be Tech Savvy & Tech Safe come and join us. The sessions take place on Wednesdays 1:00 pm – 2:30pm in the church gymnasium.

Holy Week Services
Holy Week will begin on Sunday March 29, and Milliken will be holding services on the following dates:
- March 29: Palm Sunday Service @ 10:10 am
- April 2: Maundy Thursday Service @ 7:00pm. This will be a joint service with the Tamil Christian Church of Canada, as we focus our hearts and minds on what it means to serve one another.
- April 3: Good Friday Service @ 10:10 am
- April 5: Easter Resurrection Sunday Service
Best Years Fellowship Spring Trip
The Annual BYF Spring Trip will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, heading to Muskoka. Join us on the “Millionaire’s Row Luncheon Cruise.” We will be on board the Wenonah II Steamship enjoying a delicious Luncheon while having a panoramic view of the Millionaire’s Row and Muskoka’s grand summer homes. Please advise of your choice of Roast Turkey, Baked Trout, or a Stuffed Pepper when you reserve. After disembarking the cruise at Port Carling, we will have a tour of Orillia’s Maripossa Market Bakery.
The cost is just $189 per person, which includes ground transportation from Church to the cruise and back, the Luncheon Cruise, all taxes, meal tips, and fuel surcharge. Reservation is based on the order of full-payment. Please see sister Cynthia Gopal for details and reservation. Remember, seats are limited.
Willowdale Program Closing
We have received official communication that the Willowdale Program will be shutting down in April. Further details regarding the date and time of our farewell service will be shared soon. This service will provide an opportunity for all of us to come together, reflect, and participate in honouring the program and its impact.
Milliken Church Shadow Meal Drive
This season of prayer & Fasting, we are inviting all of you, retroactively, to give up something for each day, and set aside whatever it would cost for that item each day and donate that amount on Easter Sunday. For example, if you choose to fast (give up) your McCafe coffee everyday, for the duration of Lent, then by Easter Sunday, you would have put aside $55.60 ($1.39 x 40 days). That is just a suggestion. Consider a sacrificial fast.
The organization we will be supporting is called RISE Support Centre. RISE is a Pregnancy Care Centre located in Markham. Their Mission is: “To show the love of Jesus through education and holistic support before, during, and after an unintended or challenging pregnancy.”
We are planning to have Cheryl from RISE to be here on Easter Sunday to share about their amazing work.
Special Guest: Dave Mason from Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp
We are pleased to announce that Dave Mason, Executive Director of Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp in Maberly, Ontario, will be visiting our congregation in Milliken on May 3, 2026.
Dave has served at Silver Lake for the past seven years and previously worked as a Youth Pastor at College Wesleyan Church. Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp provides Christian camping and retreat experiences and hosts a variety of summer camps and events each year.
If members of our congregation would like the opportunity to ask Dave any questions, they will need to attend the service that day. We encourage everyone who is interested to join us.
Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp Young Adult Retreat

Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp Collide Weekend

Amroth Building Renovation
The renovations are currently on hold in the Amroth Education Wing. Adam Montessori School and the contractor are still working hard to move forward with these renovations to update and modify some of our spaces to serve the childcare program better.
Please Note: The gym and the kitchen will not be affected, and Rooms A3 and A4 have been reopened. However, until further notice, Room A6 will remain unavailable.
We understand the delay is challenging, but please remember the heart behind this: these renovations are all about making the building more useful, more welcoming, and better equipped to serve both ministry and community needs. We are grateful for your patience and flexibility as we walk through this together. Thank you for your continued support and for helping us see this building not just as walls and rooms, but as a resource God has given us to bless and serve others.
