Father’s Day BBQ

Our annual Father’s Day BBQ is coming up on Sunday, June 15, 2025 for a special Special Sunday morning service, which will be led by our GEN-NOW group,  and then plan to spend your afternoon with us as we gather together to enjoy a BBQ meal together outside (weather permitting).  Invite a friend and join us for the day as we celebrate our heavenly father and honour our Dads! *THIS IS A POTLUCK BBQ. GEN-NOW  EVENTS: FATHER’S DAY/TASTE OF ASIA

CALLING ALL GEN-NOW STUDENTS & HELPERS:

TWO EVENTS TO MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

• Our Gen-Now team is leading Father’s Day Service on Sunday, June 15, 2025.  Rehearsals are going on now on Saturdays 3pm-5pm during youth meetings.  We want as many Gen-Now students as possible to participate. Parents, please encourage  your children to attend these rehearsals.  Dress rehearsal is Saturday June 14, 2025, 10:30am-1:00pm.

• Taste of Asia Youth Parking Lot fundraiser is June 27-29.   We will be raising funds to contribute to youth ministries.  Our Gen-Now team will also be performing 2 songs at this event.   This will feature our Children, Youth and Young Adult. Please join us for rehearsals on Saturdays June 7, 10, 17. Our final rehearsal is June 29 just before the event.  See you there!  *VOLUNTEER HOURS AVAILABLE! BRING YOUR VOLUNTEER SHEETS!*

VBS 2025: “Step Right Up”

This year, VBS (Vacation Bible School) will begin on Tuesday, July 15 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and then again on July 16, 17, & 18. Registration has already begun and Early Bird ends TODAY, Sunday, June 1! Please contact sister Jessica Padmore or brother Chris Lai for more information.

Final Leadership Training

• Attention Staff, Members of the LBA, Board of Trustees, Revitalization Team, and all Ministry Leaders: Please note the final Training session meeting has been changed to Sunday, July 27, immediately after service. Begins at 10:00 am and finishes at 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. More details are to come.

Time to Pray 

Our prayer team invites you to join us every Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Room for prayer. A Church that prays together, grows and Stays Together. To accommodate our members who are unable to join us in person, you will be able to join us via Zoom.  A link will be provided for you to connect with us each week.

Our Bible Study Sessions

If you missed it this morning, Sunday School take place Sunday Mornings at 9:00 am.

Wednesday evening Bible Study has ended for the season. Please stay tuned for when it restarts.

Join the Thursday Bible Study on Thursday mornings at 10:30 am in the Fellowship Room.

Ministry at Willowdale Welcome Centre

Ministry through worship and the Word continues at Willowdale Welcome Centre.  We minister to them with our morning meetings Wednesdays at 10:30 am, or every FOURTH Wednesdays with the evening service at 7:00 pm.

If you are available and would like to serve in this capacity, please contact Pastor Eddie or Pastor Aza for more information as our access and attendance are to be confirmed week to week.

Chinese-English Corner

Milliken invites you to join our CHINESE CLASSES, lead by Dr. Joan Chung, our Chinese Language teacher who teaches Mandarin. Classes are every fourth Sunday of the month. CLASSES ARE FREE!!!

Share your Testimony 

Sharing your experiences about how God is present in your life and the peace that you have found in Christ can encourage others to share their testimony. If you are interested in sharing your testimony during a Sunday Service, please feel free to contact Pastor Eddie or call the Milliken Church at (905) 475-3579 so that we can plan accordingly.

Traumatic Incident Response Protocol

As we continue to “Grow Outward”, we are pleased to announce our collaboration with the Traumatic Incident Response Protocol (TIRP), a community-based initiative supported by York Region and York Regional Police. It is designed to support individuals and families in Markham recover and heal in the aftermath of traumatic incidents by providing immediate support, resources, and connections to community services.

We encourage everyone to learn more about TIRP and how it can positively impact our community. Please take a moment to share your feedback by completing the Community Safety Standard Survey (https://forms.office.com/r/HE2JTGmhN9 *for residents of Markham). Your insights will help strengthen community safety and well-being.
