January 14, 2023 Happy New Year, Milliken!
13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. -1 John 4:13-16

Midtown Wesleyan Fellowship Launch!
We are happy to announce that a new church is being planted in the Toronto Area! Our dear brother in Christ, Pastor Chuck Ampaguey will be starting this new church plant in East York under the name Midtown Wesleyan Fellowship! Pastor Chuck will lead this mission with his wife Lily and some of our dear brothers and sisters in Christ to launch the first service in February! In honour of our family members who will help launch this church and to give them support, there will be two events we would like for you to put on your calendars:
- Sunday, January 28, 2024- Join us for a special “Family Day” service and special celebration in the gym to follow here at Milliken, to offer a special blessing over the team who will launch this church plant.
- Sunday, February 4, 2024- Midtown Wesleyan Fellowship will officially launch its first service, starting at 2:00pm. Milliken Church will offer support by joining our brothers and sisters in worship. Therefore, there will be NO fellowship in the gym after service at Milliken on this day, HOWEVER, WE WILL FELLORSHIP AT MIDTOWN WESLEYAN FELLOWSHIP, FOLLOWING THE AFTERNOON SERVICE. AS MANY OF YOU WHO ARE ABLE, MAKE A PLAN TO COME WORSHIP AND CELEBRATE WITH OUR FAMILY ON THIS DAY!
Lead “Family” Open Invitation
As the past year has unbelievably come to a close, we need a new round of “Leading Families” for our Family Sundays. As you might have noticed, we are looking for family units, meaning you may not have to be related by blood, but by association, also. Even if you have participated before, we welcome your participation. Please contact Pastor Stephen to let him know your availability so that we can plan for 2024.
Kitchen Renovation Fundraising Update
Thank you for everyone’s continual faithful giving toward our Kitchen Renovation Project. We have now raised an additional $ 570 toward the Project which brings the total to $7,405.
