MWMC This Week – Dec 24, 2023

December 24, 2023 Merry Christmas, Milliken!

13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. -1 John 4:13-16

We would like to honour our Director of Audio /Visual Technology, Mr. Chris Lai who celebrates his birthday today!  We appreciate you, Bro. Chris! God bless you!

Christmas is a time where we share the good news of Christ’s love, joy, peace and hope to the world. While we know that this is a time of celebration, Christmas can often prove to be difficult for many who have lost loved ones.  For some of you, this is the first Christmas without your beloved family member or friend, or perhaps it has been many Christmases that have passed.  No matter the condition, we as a body of believers here at Milliken Church stand with you, and we pray that the Lord of all comfort will support you day by day.  If we have missed any names for tribute, please accept our apologies.  Today, we honour the lives of the members of Milliken Church who have most recently lost.  The names are as follows:

  • Lucilla Bosma
  • Reginald Dukhilall
  • Elenor Dukhilall
  • Derry Howell
  • Rosie Murray
  • Veronica Peters
  • Dr. Ira Taylor
  • Remedios Villanueva

We also recognize the following tributes represented by the Poinsettias in honour of the loved ones of the members of Milliken Church.

In loving memory of—

  •  Mr.& Mrs. Charles Higgins (Parents of Silvia Watson)
  • St. Clair, Winston, and Kurt (Brothers & Nephew of Silvia Watson)
  • Daniel Hind (Uncle of Marlene Chung)
  • Marjorie and Ross Cooney (Family of Dwight Cooney)
  • Reuben Galita (Father & Father-In-Law of Marlon & Dian Galita)

May the memories of our dearly departed members, family and friends live on in our hearts and may their legacy live on through us to bless others.
