Christmas Decorations

It’s that time of the year again, and we need to start thinking about getting our church ready for Christmas. For that, we need your help. If you would like to help, please let Pastor Aza know right away so that we can coordinate times for you to come in. First Sunday of Advent will be December 3rd, and we would like to finish before that Sunday.

Winter Items ASAP

Milliken Wesleyan Methodist Church will be collecting winter items. We can see that winter is around the corner and we all know how cold it can get. We would appreciate having winter coats, gloves, scarves, boots, and hats to help those less fortunate to keep warm. You may contact Pastor Eddie for drop off times and the location of where you can bring it .

Wednesdays Bible Study Temp Time Change

This week’s Wednesdays Bible Study (Zoom) will be temporarily moved to Thursdays, November 30.

Johnston Sisters Foundation Meeting

The Johnston Sisters Memorial Foundation Meeting will take place this Wednesday, November 29 in the sanctuary from 7:00 pm to about 8:30 pm. During the meeting we will be discussing options for a way forward.  All church members and those who have contributed toward the foundation are encouraged to attend.

Chinese-English Corner

English Class Temporary Arrangement: As our teacher, Mr. Dennis is away on vacation, please contact Brother Chris for your homework.
On  Thursdays at 6:30 pm., Dr. Joan Chung will be our Chinese Language teacher teaching us Mandarin.

Christmas Banquet

Yes, tickets are gone. For those who have purchased tickets for our annual Christmas Banquet, we will see you on Saturday, December 9.

Family Sundays Lead “Family” Open Invitation

As the year, unbelievably, comes to a close, we need a new round of Leading “Families” for our Family Sundays. As you might have noticed, we are looking for family units, meaning you may not have to be related by blood, but by association, also. Even if you have participated before, we welcome your participation. Please contact Pastor Stephen to let him know your availability so that we can plan for 2024.

INCOME TAX 2024 RECEIPTS

  • Our finance team would like to give a friendly reminder that anyone who would like to receive a tax receipt for their financial contributions MUST put all Cheques and Cash in an envelope with FULL NAME AND ADDRESS.
  • We have received several unlabeled envelopes and without a name and address, there is no way of knowing who has made a contribution.
  • Unlabeled envelopes go directly to the general fund so we ask you to PLEASE label your envelopes before placing them in the offering box.

Worship Arts Team – We Want Your Help!

Have you been looking for a way to serve?  Our Worship Arts team needs you!  We are looking for servant leaders who are willing to serve on our Sunday Morning Worship  and Audio Visual Teams.  If you have the ability to sing, play an instrument (any instrument), or would like to learn how to serve in the Sound booth to learn various skills including sound board training, video/camera operation and working with Worship Tools to present words and scripture on the screen for worship service, please see Pastor Aza or Brother Chris.

Here are 3 reasons why you should join:

  1. A place to develop your gifts and be equipped to serve.
  2. Wonderful team of believers who support each other and pray for each other.
  3. Youth Alert! If you are looking to gain credits toward your volunteer service, this is a great way for you to earn those credits!

For more information, please visit www.millikenchurch.org for details on these areas of service.

Weekday Podcast: 4:19 Fisher of People

Pastor Eddie hosts a weekday podcast called “Fisher of People”. He will be LIVE on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter every Weekday at 4:19 pm to help us focus on becoming dynamic Disciples of Jesus, and how we can lead others to follow Him. Subscribe to our YouTube channel or follow our Facebook and Twitter, and you will be notified when he goes LIVE. Tune in for his refreshing thoughts.

Prayer Requests

Our Prayer group is asking everyone who has prayer needs to put their requests in the prayer request box so that they will be remembered in our weekly prayer meeting. We are here to pray with you and for you. May the Lord encourage you to bring your requests to his alter in Jesus name.

Share Your Testimony

Sharing your experience of how God is present in your life, and the peace that you have found in Christ can encourage others to share their testimony. If you are interested in sharing your testimony during a Sunday Service, please feel free to contact Pastor Eddie or call the Milliken Church at (905) 475-3579 so that we can plan accordingly.

Tithes and Offerings

Tithes and Offerings can be submitted in person or online. If you would like to arrange a personal drop-off aside from Sundays during services, please call (905)-475-3579. Please make an appointment before a drop-off is made to ensure someone will be present to receive it. Leave a message and someone will confirm your arrangements.

For virtual offering options, you may either follow the instructions on MillikenChurch.org/e-transfer for e-transfer option, or visit us at MillikenChurch.org/GIVE for giving via PayPal. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.
