Upcoming Baptism
We currently have two candidates for Baptism and we are planning to baptize on September 30th, 2023. If you are ready or have questions about baptism, please contact Pastor Eddie as soon as possible.
Chinese-English Corner
Milliken’s “Chinese-English Corner”, has moved back to Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Members from our Chinese-speaking community and our Church family will have an opportunity to learn English and in a three-part education experience. For now, we are currently offering English lessons to our Chinese-speaking community, taught by English teacher, Mr. Colbert Dennis.
Later on, we will have a Chinese-speaking teacher who will teach Chinese to interested Milliken members. The goal is to then have a Chinese-English exchange where we can learn from each other through conversation and fellowship. We will keep you posted when Chinese classes begin.
New Times for Sunday School and Sunday Services
Beginning on Sunday, September 10, our Sunday School will begin at 9:00 am, and Sunday Morning Services will begin at 10:10 am. Children’s Church will begin at approximately 10:45 am. Please note the changes and mark your calendar.
Back To School/Graduation Celebration 2023
Save The NEW Date: On Sunday, September 17, during our morning worship service, we will be honouring students who were part of the graduation class of 2023. So if you or your child had a graduation this year from pre-school-University, we will be having a special celebration here at Milliken Church recognizing your achievement! If you graduated this year, please notify Pastor Aza so that we can prepare accordingly.
Worship Arts Team – We Want Your Help!
Have you been looking for a way to serve? Our Worship Arts team needs you! We are looking for servant leaders who are willing to serve on our Sunday Morning Worship and Audio Visual Teams. If you have the ability to sing, play an instrument (any instrument), or would like to learn how to serve in the Sound booth to learn various skills including sound board training, video/camera operation and working with Worship Tools to present words and scripture on the screen for worship service, please see Pastor Aza or Brother Chris.
Here are 3 reasons why you should join:
- A place to develop your gifts and be equipped to serve.
- Wonderful team of believers who support each other and pray for each other.
- Youth Alert! If you are looking to gain credits toward your volunteer service, this is a great way for you to earn those credits!
For more information, please visit www.millikenchurch.org for details on these areas of service.
