UPDATE: Milliken has started a new outreach called “Chinese-English Corner” Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm. Our mission is to connect with members from our Chinese-speaking community and our Church family will have an opportunity to learn English and in a three-part education experience. For now, we are currently offering English lessons to our Chinese-speaking community, taught by English teacher, Mr. Colbert Dennis. Later on, we will have a Chinese-speaking teacher who will teach Chinese to interested Milliken members. The goal is to then have a Chinese-English exchange where we can learn from each other through conversation and fellowship. We will keep you posted when Chinese classes begin.
Come to our morning worship service on Sunday, July 23 and hear a dynamic presentation by Teen Challenge Canada, featuring testimonies and stories of finding freedom from addiction.
Media Team Training (Part 1)
Media Team is in urgent need of more volunteers. You can be part of it without being technically advanced. There are simple tasks that you can be part of. On Saturday, July 29, we will be hosting the first of a three-part training workshop in Media training. We will be training people on the simplest of the tasks, which are things related to what you see on the projectors each Sunday morning. Training will begin at 11:00 am, and will last an hour and a half. If you would like to learn, Please reach out To Chris or Pastor Aza. An online sign-up list will be sent out. *Attention Youth:* This is a great way to learn a new skill and receive volunteer hours for high school mandatory volunteer credits! Mark your calendars, and join the team.
Join us on August 15-18 for VBS (Vacation Bible School)! Times will be 6:30-8:30 pm, and it is FREE! Our theme this year is “WILD LIFE”! Registration begins July 9. Early Bird ends NEXT SUNDAY, July 23 (if you sign up early, your child gets a prize at the end of the VBS week!), and Registration ends August 4.
Volunteers, we are looking for you! If you are available, please talk to Sister Jessica or Brother Chris about your availability (GREAT WAY FOR TEEN TO COMPLETE THEIR SERVICE HOURS!). Please save the date! For further details, visit our website at https://millikenchurch.org/vbs2023/.
Back To School/Graduation Celebration 2023
Save The Date: On Sunday, August 27, during our morning worship service, we will be honouring students who were part of the graduation class of 2023. So if you or your child had a graduation this year from pre-school-University, we will be having a special celebration here at Milliken Church recognizing your achievement! If you graduated this year, please notify Pastor Aza so that we can prepare accordingly.
Worship Arts Team – We Want Your Help!
Have you been looking for a way to serve? Our Worship Arts team needs you! We are looking for servant leaders who are willing to serve on our Sunday Morning Worship and Audio Visual Teams. If you have the ability to sing, play an instrument (any instrument), or would like to learn how to serve in the Sound booth to learn various skills including sound board training, video/camera operation and working with Worship Tools to present words and scripture on the screen for worship service, please see Pastor Aza or Brother Chris.
Here are 3 reasons why you should join:
- A place to develop your gifts and be equipped to serve.
- Wonderful team of believers who support each other and pray for each other.
- Youth Alert! If you are looking to gain credits toward your volunteer service, this is a great way for you to earn those credits!
For more information, please visit www.millikenchurch.org for details on these areas of service.

Subscribe to our YouTube channel or follow our Facebook and Twitter, and you will be notified when he goes LIVE. Tune in for his refreshing thoughts.
