February 7, 2021

Welcome to Milliken!

God has allowed us to come this far by His grace and mercy. Give thanks unto Him for He is good! As enter into a new year, may our hearts be tuned to the leading of the Holy Spirit as he calls us to draw close to him while he is near. Let us commit to a greater and more intimate relationship with our Lord.

Communion Sunday Sunday, February 21, we will observe communion in keeping with our observance for every 3rd Sunday of each month. Please prepare your elements accordingly.

Ash Wednesday and Mid-Week Lenten Services

Lent begins on Wednesday, February 17. We will be starting our 40- days by having Mid-Week Services Online Via Zoom at 7:30pm, starting on Ash Wednesday and every Wednesday until Easter on Sunday, April 3.

We will also be partaking in Communion that day so please make preparations of your own elements at home accordingly.

As a result, our weekly Bible Study will be on hold until Easter. Youth will be moved temporarily to another day. For those who do not have internet access, you will be able to join by phone.

Those who are on our email list will have the Zoom access link emailed to them. Those who would prefer to join by phone, please call our church at and Pastor Aza will provide the access code.

Grocery Gift Card Food Drive Milliken Church will be starting an initiative during the Lenten Season to give back to our local community for those who are in need. We will be starting a Grocery Gift Card Food Drive. Due to concerns with the spread of COVID-19, collecting food for those in need has made many reluctant to give. However, Gift Cards are a safe and excellent way of helping those in need get what they need to nourish their families. You can contribute your gift by giving to our benevolent fund that can be found on our website under GIVE and those funds will be used to purchase grocery gift cards that will be distributed to those in need. We could really use your help to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we show HIS love by giving in this capacity.

Worship Arts Team We have been blessed with a wonderful team of volunteers who have committed their gifts to serving the Lord in this capacity. We would love for more of you to join our Worship Arts Team. Here are 3 reasons why you should join:
1) A place to develop your gifts and be equipped to serve
2) Wonderful team of believers who support each other and pray for each other
3) Youth Alert! If you are looking to gain credits toward your volunteer service, this is a great way for you to earn those credits!

Here are some of the ways you can volunteer:
• Worship Leader
