Global Partners
Global Partners is the mission agency of the Wesleyan Church around the world. Its Director, Dennis Jackson, visited our congregation in 2013. He now writes with a missions update…
Dear Milliken Church,
Thank you so much for your continued partnership during these crucial days. Many friends like you have expressed their appreciation for our updates and prayer requests. I have cherished these too. We wanted to let you know that our collective giving for the global Covid-19 response fund has now reached $291,000! I’ve never seen the global Church stand so strongly together. The need has been greater than anticipated – but the giving has been greater as well. Praise God!
Back in March our District Global Partners Directors asked us to do a better job of communicating the overall strategy of our organization. Many are unaware of our “Five Phase” approach to mission. During the next year, our team is going to share this Five Phrase strategy more clearly.
Here is a link (https://vimeo.com/427590760/cd7e2ea347) to a 30-minute video I created. It includes three things:
(a) a verbal update on our global Covid-19 response,
(b) a quick overview of our Five Phase Strategy for Missions, and
(c) personal sharing by three of our missionaries about how they “do” Phrase One on the field! This video then closes with 10 minutes of our missionaries praying. Let me encourage you to watch it. It could increase your heart for missions!
Thank you, again, for all you do in partnership with us for the Kingdom.
– Dennis Jackson
Online Groups We are glad to continue offering online weekly meetings for children and youth at the times listed below. If you wish to join, contact one of the pastors or the church office.
Time to Pray Our weekly, evening prayer ministry continues this Tuesday at 7:15pm. To receive the invitation link to the virtual prayer room, contact the Church Office, or e-mail Pastor Pryor.
Prayer & Fasting Our church staff and board invite everyone to participate in a weekly time of fasting and prayer during the month of June. Each Thursday evening through Friday at noon, please fast and pray for the Lord to guide our search for the next pastor. Thank you.
Church Life Update Plans are now beginning for us to enter “Phase Two” in our church’s re-start of ministries. More details will be coming soon. Thank you for your growing interest and patience as we work toward these changes.
