Palm Sunday

Today the Church around the world rejoices that God has sent the deliverer into this world. Jesus came in fulfillment of ancient prophecies to reconcile all things back to God. Hello Milliken Church!

In the midst of Covid-19 I pray that we do not lose hope, but be reminded of God’s sovereignty. The whole world has been impacted by this and we are all trying to adjust to quarantine. All of our student interactions have moved online. This includes discipleship groups, one-on-one mentoring, and our weekly meetings.

Last week, our staff tried hosted “As Me Anything” as a weekly Instagram Live meeting where students could comment and ask questions in real time. This was an interesting new venture. We believe it could attract even more students to the faith. Moving everything online has been a challenge, but we are determined to make it work and trust God with the results.

Sadly, we had to cancel a number of events, like our annual fellowship dinner, staff conference, and year-end formal, at which we celebrate all that God has done and say “goodbye” to our graduating students. This spring we were also scheduled to go on a mission trip to Morocco for six weeks. But this was cancelled along with all the other mission trips slated for this spring/summer.

Please pray for the staff in this time that God would give wisdom. Pray that students would have a heart to serve their neighbors by staying home. And pray that during this time of isolation we would all draw closer to God. We are praying for you!

Thank you for your ongoing spiritual and financial support.

– Jess
