Season of Kingdomtide
During these weeks the Church around the world celebrates the coming of God’s kingdom on earth. The colour green on our altar reminds us that the Lord brings growth, health, and fullness of life to all enter this kingdom. We pray that you will experience the fullness He offers as you worship with us today.

The Bahamas
Last week we received an update from World Hope Canada and their disaster relief assistance following Hurricane Dorian…
Dear Milliken Church,
As media coverage recedes, it becomes easy for many to forget about Bahamians who are left behind to deal with the long-term disastrous effects of Hurricane Dorian. However, your recent donations have encouraged and empowered our World Hope Canada team to keep working tirelessly with our partners and volunteers.
During the first two weeks after the disaster, we continued bringing clean water and hope to many whose lives had been radically altered by this storm. Your congregation members generously gave $1,110. Thank you! Praise the Lord! World Hope Canada was one of the first organizations to arrive on site after the storm passed. We joined hands with our local relief partners in the islands: YachtAid Global, SolRelief, and Katadyn.
We brought the technology and equipment to create drinkable, life-saving water from the salty ocean water and gave it away to everyone we could reach. It helped many who were in shock and dehydrated to stay alive.
Two Canadian volunteers; Deborah Gilbert & James Penney (pictured here) were on-site to make this happen. They worked like machines – for countless hours for two solid weeks! What a gift from God! Please continue to pray for the rebuilding work that will now continue in this nation – and the other places impacted by the hurricane.
We continue to resource, serve and bless those in need because of what you provide.
