Season of Kingdomtide
During these weeks the Church around the world celebrates the coming of God’s kingdom on earth. The colour green on our altar reminds us that the Lord brings growth, health, and fullness of life to all enter this kingdom. We pray that you will experience the fullness He offers as you worship with us today.

Ryerson University
Last week we received an update from Evangelist Jessica Barnett who serves with Power to Change Ministries on the Ryerson Campus in Toronto…
Dear Milliken Church Family,
The first few weeks of school have flown by with many events for students. Our ministry events have included:
(1) a first year mixer – where we went to the Ryerson Campus Pub to meet new first year students,
(2) speed friending – an event that mimics speed dating but allows students to sit facing each other in two rows and answer silly or deep questions about themselves. This event brought out a few non-Christians.
(3) Clubs Day – we were able to display a booth showcasing our club. Over 50 students signed up to learn more!
(4) Quad Party – the day after clubs day, we organized some group games and snacks.
(5) First Weekly Gathering – Over 50 students showed up for our fellowship event, and half of them were new to us. Praise the Lord. Our discussion time was on the subject of “true community.”
(6) Reunion Party – for those who have been involved with us in previous years. Here I met a student named Messiah. He comes from a Muslim background but grew up attending a Roman Catholic school. He is very interested in Jesus, so I was able to share my testimony with him. He is thinking much about these ideas and wants to continue to learn by participating in our gatherings. Please pray that God will reveal Himself to Messiah.
Lastly, our discipleship groups will also begin this week. Please pray that the students will grow in their love for Jesus and each other. There is so much potential for a powerful move of God here. Thank you for your prayers!
