Season of Pentecost
During these weeks the Church around the world celebrates the presence and work of the Holy Spirit in our midst. He draws us in faith and transforms us to become more like Jesus Christ. May you sense the Spirit’s work in and around you as we worship God today.

Thank You to everyone who served with our VBS program this week. This joint venture with the Tamil Christian Church drew in 36 children from both churches and from our local community! We look forward to hearing the children share what they learned in each weeknight session. Thank you for remembering this program in your prayers. The Lord was at work in our midst!
MidWeek Mission Service This Wednesday (July 31st) Pastor Nathan Maskery from Transformation Wesleyan Church will visit to share. His presentation will take place in the Fellowship Room at 7:15pm. Come and be inspired to learn how God is transforming lives in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Family Ministries Meeting & Lunch On Sunday, August 11th, all families with children are invited to stay after church for a time of lunch and conversation in the gym. Speak with Pastor Cymone to learn more.
Baby Shower Next month we will host an all-church baby shower for Toronto Church Planters David & Olivia Phillips. Please reserve 11:30am on your calendar for Saturday, August 24th, to attend. We look forward to showing our love and support to this young family and the bold, important ministry they are striving to create in our city.
Burkina Faso
We recently received an update from Missionaries Windell & Yolie Etienne who are preparing to serve as Global Partners Missionaries to Burkina Faso…
Dear Milliken Church Friends,
We greet you in the strong name of our faithful Savior, Jesus. As you may remember, our plan was to move to Burkina Faso this next week (the end of July). But this has been slightly delayed because of two reasons. The first is that we needed more time to organize the trip.
We are working to secure Burkinabe visas. Because this nation does not have an embassy here in Haiti, we must apply through their embassy in the United States. After that is secured, then we will be cleared to apply for a Schengen transit visa for Yolie, who has never traveled outside of Haiti before.
The second reason for the delay is that our pledged support is just under the base amount needed to sustain our missionary service. Your church has already graciously committed to helping us monthly, and we are most grateful. Please pray that other partners will step up to help us on a monthly basis. Only about $900 per month more is needed. We take our call seriously and faithfully with great passion and commitment.
Finally, please pray for the people of Burkina Faso. There are strong social and political tensions there at this time. We must pray for stability and peace so that the Gospel ministry will be strong. May God keep blessing you abundantly as you pray and continue your partnership with us.
