Taste of Asia Booth We want to provide a welcome and information booth to festival-goers passing by our church property this weekend. We need volunteers to assist Pastor Cymone at a Milliken Church booth we will set up. Please sign up at the Information Desk, or speak with Pastor Cymone today to learn how you can help.

Next Sunday our Morning Worship Service will include words of thanksgiving and prayers for Canada. We share God’s love and concern for the peoples who call this country ‘home.’ This service will also include a the serving of Holy Communion and a Call to Prayer.

Vacation Bible School 2019 will take place on the evenings of July 21st through 25th. Children ages 3 to 11 are encouraged to attend and bring friends. Our program will be a joint venture with the Tamil Christian Church. It will include a parent enrichment class during each session. Register today at the Information Desk.

Thank you to everyone who served and volunteered in last Sunday’s Father’s Day Barbecue & Community Outreach. Your welcome was warm and the food was amazing. Let us continue to celebrate and pray for the people who visited us in this great event.

Nicaragua

Missionary Ryan Schmitz visited us last Wednesday evening and shared many details about Matagalpa. On Thursday, he wrote a short thank you note for us all…

Dear Milliken Church Family,

Thank you for your loving welcome last night. It was very encouraging to see your ongoing love for the people of Matagalpa, its church and the nearby Las Colinas School. Your visits to this area were the first of many that have brought new hope and vitality to this community. Your current interest in helping us dig a water well for the school is also most encouraging.

As of now, we have received almost $4,000 of the $6,000 needed to begin and finish this important project. When all is prepared, we will hire local workers to dig the well. That will help the local economy by providing work for men who need it, and ultimately by bringing clean water for the school and community! All of the funds you may give toward this project will bring us closer to the goal, and be a source of health and blessing for years to come!

Thank you for your generosity in this way, and in so many others! I was encouraged and grateful to visit you again last night.

Blessings,

Ryan Schmitz
