Youth Fellowship will take place today after the morning worship service. All students in Grades 7 through 12 are encouraged to stick around for lunch, games and fun in the Youth Room. Speak with Pastor Axel to learn more.

First Friday Prayer Vigil Can you offer 30 minutes in prayer this Friday for the several church plants in our province? Pick up a list of prayer updates from the Information Desk and sign up for the period when you will pray. God is working and we rejoice at what He is bringing to life.

Next Sunday is the final session of our Intersect Class at 9:30am. This month our guest speaker will be Mr. Jimmy Yin, a Markham entrepreneur. He will describe how he engages his customers and associates each day to think about the deeper questions of faith. Perhaps his practices will spark ideas that help you do the same!

Sunrise Nursing Home Service will take place next Sunday (May 5th) at 1:30pm. Join us for this monthly outreach of music and prayer to encourage the residents in this facility. New participants are always welcomed. Speak with Chris Lai to learn how you can participate.

Mother/Daughter Celebration A very special LIFT event for all ladies will take place here on Saturday, May 11th at 1pm. Reserve your calendar for this time of inspiration, food and entertainment. More information will be available soon.

Thunder Bay

Pastor Nathan Maskery leads the ministry team of our church plant in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He wrote this week with an update…

Hey Milliken Church!

What a great weekend we experienced here in Thunder Bay on Easter! We served about 100 people in a Saturday morning Pre-Easter Breakfast. It also included an egg hunt for the kids. Lots of new people from the community came. It was a joy to meet so many neighbours.

Then on Easter morning, we had a record-breaking attendance of 110! We set up more chairs and were reminded that our balcony renovation is still not complete…so finishing that is clearly the right direction for us in the days ahead!

After the service, we were able to offer everyone a plate of food, because of what we had left over from the day before. What an environment of celebration! God is good. We are seeing lots of new people from our community who are hearing the good news of Jesus. We pray that you are experiencing the same joy that we are.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement in this work. God bless you all.

– Pastor Nathan
