Badminton Commissioning Reception Today after the service, we invite you to the gym for the official commissioning of the Badminton Sports Ministry of our church. You are also invited to take up a racket and play!
Birds of a Feather Badminton Club will begin its first regular session tomorrow evening at 6:30pm. Speak with Phil Farrell to learn more. Flyers can be found at the Information Desk.
First Friday Prayer Vigil On the first Friday of each month we make time to pray for the several church plants here in Ontario. Pick up a “prayer slip” from the Information Desk today and sign up for the 30 minute period during which you will remember these needs in prayer.
Intersection Class The third session of our Intersection class will meet next Sunday morning at 9:30am. Evangelist Jessica Barnett, and her husband Henry, will visit to describe how they speak of Jesus to non-believing friends, and how you can do the same! Come be inspired and learn how to share your faith with people in your life.
Thunder Bay, Ontario
Pastor Nathan Maskery wrote this week with an update on the ministry of Transformation Church, our new church plant in that city.
Dear Milliken Church Family,
Your continued prayer and support is greatly appreciated. And I am sure that it is part of the force through which God is moving in our city. This month we saw a man surrender his life to Jesus. It all started with a woman on our citywide prayer committee was visiting the local Roman Catholic parish to speak with the priest there about helping in our multi-denominational mission work. But while there she met a young man who was wanting to confess sins and find God for himself. She took time to pray with this man, and then referred him to us.
When I met with him, it was very clear that God was speaking to him. We talked and prayed, and he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ – in his own words- in my office. Hallelujah! God is up to some great things!
Earlier this month, we also hosted a construction work team from the Powassan Wesleyan Church (near North Bay). They helped us with some much needed renovation in the church building.
My wife and I also welcomed our fifth child: Randall Cal Maskery, who was born to us on St Valentines Day! He arrived at 9lbs & 6oz. Here is a picture of Baby Randall! God is bringing new life to us, in many ways, and we are so grateful. Thank you for your continued prayer and support. We appreciate you all.
