Epiphany

God has appeared to us in Jesus! Those who come to him have seen the greatest of spiritual light. Today the Church around the world remembers how even far-away sages followed a celestial start to find the Anointed One God has promised to the Jews. We pray that you will also be drawn to worship and adore the Lord Jesus, as we worship Him today.

Thunder Bay, Ontario

Transformation Wesleyan is a recently planted developing congregation in Thunder Bay. Pastor Nathan Maskery recently wrote with an update…

Dear Milliken Church Friends,

We had quite a Christmas celebration two weeks ago. We served a Christmas meal on Saturday, December 22nd, just as we had on Thanksgiving Day. The attendance was a little smaller this time, but we saw God at work in unexpected ways.

Then, on Christmas Eve, eighty-four people from our community came to the service. One woman who had first visited at Thanksgiving returned. She was beginning a journey toward wholeness at that time. Now the people of our church have stepped up to help her too. She was able to break free of a drug addiction and now has her children with her again. This month we are helping her move to a new home so that she can have a better frame of mind, in a new space, to “restart” life. We know that as she invites Jesus into this new space, powerful changes can continue. And we rejoice in the power of God that can make each one of us new too!

Thank you for your prayers and support. May God make you new as you also start new patterns of loving, giving and serving in your community!

Yours in Jesus, Pastor Nathan
PS: This picture was taken just before we shared our Christmas Dinner with the community.
