Season of Kingdomtide

During these weeks the Church around the world seeks God’s glory and powerful presence to renew the earth. The colour green on our altar table reminds us that Christ’s Kingdom continues to grow. We pray that you will choose to enter His blessed Kingdom as you worship with us.

Best Years Fellowship will meet this Tuesday at 10:30 am. This month’s program theme is “The Carols of Christmas.” It will include music and inspiring words. And our lunch will be provided by a generous donor! Please bring a friend to share this special holiday fellowship event.

Youth Room Remodelling Project Can you help us financially with this important work? If so, place one of the giving tabs (from the poster outside the Youth Room) in an envelope with your matching donation. Place this gift in the offering and you will be part of the remodelling too! Thank you for your generosity.

Men’s Breakfast will take place this Saturday morning at 8:30 am. Join us for a great time of food and sharing as we learn more about men in the New Testament whose “background” presence made a great impact for the Kingdom of God. Christmas Banquet Tickets are on sale in the foyer. Please join us on December 1st for this evening of celebration and great food.

Lee-Genereaux Reception Next Sunday former staff member Ryan Genereaux will be our guest preacher. He and his family also invite everyone to stay after the worship service for a lunch in celebration of Ryan’s recent marriage. Plan to attend and express your congratulations to Ryan and Marleigh (his wife)!

Baby Shower You are cordially invited to attend a baby shower for Tanya Howell on Saturday, December 8th, at 12:30 pm in the Fellowship Room. We, her church family, want to help her celebrate a blessing that will soon arrive. This will be a potluck event. Please sign up at the Information Desk so that proper arrangements can be made. Speak with Susan Thomas or Linda Pryor today to learn more. Thank you.

Myanmar (Burma)

Evangelist Myint Maung is in the middle of yet another ministry trip to his homeland of Burma. He sends the following update…

Dear Milliken Church Family,

Praise the Lord for what He is doing here in Myanmar. I am traveling with a team of medical workers in the Mon State of Burma. It is located on the southern peninsula of our country. Last week we visited a home for orphans just outside of a town. This facility is managed by a Christian believer named Dayel. He protects and provides for these children – helping them experience the love of Jesus. This ministry is called “New Generation.” In our culture this title means that growth and good life “generate” in this place.

During our time here I shared the Gospel with the orphans. Please pray that this orphanage will be protected and blessed by the Lord. There are very few Christians in this area. But as we show care for people – especially those who are abandoned or devalued by others, we do the Lord’s work! Imagine how powerful it will be when this group of children grows up to live for God! They could change their town and the whole Mon State for the Gospel!

Please also pray for me as I spread the Good News in this land. I am so glad to have the support of you, my home church family.

– Your Brother in Jesus, Myint
