Kingdomtide
During these weeks the Church around the world seeks God’s glory and powerful presence to renew the earth. The color green on our altar table reminds us that Christ’s Kingdom continues to grow. We pray that you will choose to enter His blessed Kingdom as you worship with us.

E.P.I.C. (Everyone Participating in Church) continues this morning during our worship service. Children, parents, and the young in heart are all encouraged to move to the front of the Sanctuary for this portion as we hear and sing the Epic themes song being played. Enter into this joyous way of hearing the Lord speak to you!
First Friday Prayer Vigil We invite you to pick up a prayer slip from the back Sanctuary table and add your prayers to ours as we lift up the several church plants across our city and province. We pray that many will find Christ through these new ministries.
Share Your Testimony Next Sunday, we will host a special 45-minute training class in Room A5 on the lower level. Evangelist Henry Lubemba (from Power to Change Ministries) will help us learn how to verbalize our experience of Christ with friends who do not yet know Him! Come grow in your confidence and skill to share Jesus with others starting at 9:30am!
Thanksgiving Dinner at HCCH This year we will again serve Thanksgiving Dinner to our neighbors on Monday, October 8th. We are seeking a few more cooks and servers for this compassionate community event just up the street. Speak with Pat Pitre today if you can participate.
The Fall Colours Bus Day-Trip is filling up quickly for Monday, October 15th. The cost is $95 per person. Reserve your seat today with a $40 deposit at the Information Desk today. More detail are also available from Satie Pokhai.
Halloween Supercharged will take place here in our church parking lot and gym on Halloween night (October 31st) from 5pm until 8pm. And we are seeking both candy donations and volunteers to assist with the fun. Speak with Pastor Cymone today to learn how you can help.
Japan
Missionary Robin White serves with Global Partners in Nagoya. He recently wrote with an update…
Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a good summer, wherever you’ve been. I went to Budapest, Hungary for a gathering of fellow missionaries! It was a great change of pace and scenery. I was encouraged by the time with fellow missionaries, worshipping and learning for a few days.
As I returned to Japan, our church was holding its last service in the current church building. We are now demolishing it to re-build a new facility in the same spot. Please pray for our people as we go through this transition.
This month, I am also traveling to Tokyo, Chukyo and Kure to serve the churches in their outreach ministries there. The last of these stops, Kure, is a neighborhood within Hiroshima prefecture that was impacted by severe flooding just weeks ago. I will serve in the ongoing disaster relief efforts, and help a local church ministries too. What an important time to share the love of Christ – when people are looking for help and answers.
Meanwhile, please continue to pray for my Manga Ministry Project. I am very hopeful to bring Christ to the young generation here through this popular animated art form. As always, thank you so much for your partnership in missions in Japan!
