Kingdomtide

During these weeks the Church around the world seeks God’s glory and powerful presence to renew the earth. The color green on our altar table reminds us that Christ’s Kingdom continues to grow. We pray that you will choose to enter His blessed Kingdom as you worship with us.

New Member Reception Please join us in the gym after the service today.  Take a moment to welcome our new Church Members.  We give thanks that the Lord has brought them into our fellowship.  And they will be encouraged to meet you too.  (We will also celebrate the 60th Birthday of our friend and fellow member Todd Yuill.  God bless you, Todd, on this blessed day.)

Time to Pray Join us for a time of prayer and rejoicing this Wednesday evening at 7:15pm in the Fellowship Room.  If you have a prayer need, we invite you to write it on a Response Card from the Pew Rack in front of you.  Place it in the church shaped box on the far right of the platform.  All requests and praises will be remembered this week.

Thunder Bay Mission Report will be given next Sunday morning as part of our Worship Service.  We are excited to learn of how the Lord was at work during our team’s service at Transformation Wesleyan Church during these past few days.

Fall Colour Tour Some have asked about the possibility of a one-day bus trip in the mid-fall to view the changing colours of the season.  If you would be interested to participate in a trip like this, please sign your name on the “Fall Colour Tour Interest” sheet on the Information Desk.  If at least 20 persons express interest, a possible trip will be explored.  Thank you.

Toronto

Revs Dave & Olivia Phillips are beginning a new ministry here in the city.  They wrote this week with an important update…

Hello Brothers & Sisters,

The summer is coming to an end.  It is hard to believe that we have been here for almost four months, yet here it is.  Olivia and I are excited about the call God has placed on us to serve in the west end of Toronto.  We are also excited as my Permanent Residency papers have finally been submitted.

We are getting ready to try our first outreach event in October as well as having groups meet in late September.  While this has been amazing, there have been some ongoing difficulties.  One of our team members, Shane, has been having a hard time finding housing for his family of three.

We are asking for prayer and wisdom that God will either provide housing, or give direction on how to move forward.  Even in this uncertainty, we know that God is planning something.  Thank you for all your prayers as we know they are effective.  God bless you all.

– Dave & Olivia Phillips
