During these weeks the Church around the world celebrates the presence and work of the Holy Spirit in our midst. He draws us in faith and transforms to become more like Jesus Christ. May you sense the Spirit’s work in and around you as we worship God today.

Holy Land Trip Options Recently two sister churches declared their plans to take tour groups to the Holy Land during the next year. Islington Evangel Centre will travel in October 2018, and the Tamil Christian Church will travel in March 2019. Both groups are open to including fellow Christians interested in participating with them. See the flyers on the back Sanctuary table for more details.
Ryerson University (Toronto)
Evangelist Jessica Barnett participates with Power to Change Ministries here on the Ryerson Campus. She wrote this week with an update…
Dear Milliken Friends, Summer is a low activity time on the Ryerson U Campus. But we did celebrate the graduation of two of our student leaders. Pray that everything they have learned about sharing their faith will translate into the workplaces where they have already found jobs.
We want so much for them to bring Christ into their career settings. Meanwhile, one of our mission tripping students returned from his summer mission quite shaken. As he watched and listened to the faith of his teammates, he began to question if he really knows the Lord like they did! Pray that this student will seek and find assurance for his personal faith.
Let me also ask that you pray for our organization. We are in a consultation and training process about how to address and contextualize new issues in our society. We want to have God’s wisdom and discernment, so that we can speak the truth in ways that our faithful yet meaningful to the continually evolving generation of undergrad and graduate students.
Thanks so much for your faithful prayers and support.
