Pentecost Sunday
Christians around the world celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit on this day. God the Spirit is a source of wisdom, power and transformation in every person and event He touches. The color red on our altar table reminds us of the day when the Spirit first descended. We pray that you will also experience the joy-filling presence of the Spirit as you worship the Lord with us today.

Wesleyan Life The spring issue of our denominational magazine has arrived. Please pick up your free copy of this inspiring magazine from the small table in the foyer. See how God is at work.
Tai Chi for Beginners takes place every Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm. New attendees continue to join and you could be a part of this group. We meet for 35 minutes of stretching and low-impact exercise in the gym. Come to observe and to learn a few moves!
Local Church Conference will take place this Wednesday (May 30th) at 7 pm in the Sanctuary. We invite you to pick up an advance packet for the meeting from the back Sanctuary table. Please also pray for God’s guidance to us as we take up this time of holy conferencing.
First Friday Prayer Vigil is our opportunity to pray for the many requests and praises from new church plants across the province. Sign up today at the back Sanctuary table for the 30-minute period during which you can pray. Prayer slip updates to guide your prayers can also be picked up next to the sign-up sheet.
Japan
Japan Missionary Robin White serves with Global Partners in Nagoya, Japan. He recently wrote an update…
Hi Everyone!
In November 2010, I began teaching English language classes to Japanese students here in Nagoya. It has been a joy to teach both young and older students how to speak my native language – even while I have learned theirs! But every journey has an ending and the time has come to move on to something different.
I do plan to stay in Japan, but this part of my job assignment will conclude in August. We will also search for someone else to continue the children’s classes through February. It is with mixed feelings that I look forward to this transition. But I am excited about the new things that will be my next major mission projects.
This ministry has been a great way to introduce Jesus to many dozens of children and adults. He is the reason we continue every outreach ministry! As we approach the summer season my schedule is filled with camps, conferences, retreats, and other opportunities to travel across Japan and evangelize, share music and preach. Please pray that God will protect and anoint all of these seasonal ministries. And thank you, so much, for your continuing prayers and financial support.
Blessings, Robin
