Japan

Missionary Robin White serves as with Global Partners in the nation of Japan. This week he wrote with an update on his service there…

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a good Easter weekend celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus and the new life we have in Him. In Nagoya we celebrated with the baptism of a man who recently became a Christian at our church. It’s always encouraging to see signs of new life in Japan!

Spring is a transition season here. It’s the start of a new school year, the new fiscal year in business, and even the church’s organizational year! Two weeks ago, the Immanuel Church (our Wesleyan denomination in Japan) elected their new daihyo, or national superintendent. They chose my pastor, Rev. Masarua Uchiyama. He will continue to serve as the pastor of our local church while he takes up this national leadership assignment. Please pray for him, especially during the transition we will all make.

Please also pray for my work teaching both English classes and Bible study groups. There have been some really good conversations with the non-Christians who attend. There are signs of spiritual openness that are growing. May God use these meetings to reveal Jesus to everyone.

Thank you, as always, for your investment in our mission here!

– Robin
