Pastor Nathan Maskery leads the ministry of Transformation Church, our revitalized Wesleyan church plant in Thunder Bay. He recently wrote with an update…
Hey Milliken Church!
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. We are so grateful for the people who pray and give so that this ministry can continue to develop. Winter is long and cold here, but not too cold to hinder the spiritual fire in the lives of our core group.
A few weeks ago we finished our first round of Alpha classes, helping people see the truth about Jesus and claim a personal faith in him. Now we are gearing up for the start “life groups.” This next month we will be starting these groups as the place where we help each other apply God’s words to our lives, hold each other up in prayer, and learn the stories of the people around us. We are gearing up to start three of these groups immediately after Easter. What a great time to live out the new life that God gives us through the resurrected Jesus!
We pray that you will also live in the joy that life in Jesus gives! Thank you, again, for your encouragement and support.

Thank You to everyone who attended our Multi-Church Movie Night last Friday evening. Powerful words and images reminded us of the spiritual battle being fought every day for the hearts and minds of friends and family members.
Maundy Thursday Worship will begin at 7:15 pm this Wednesday Evening. We will remember Jesus’ command to serve each other in love and will reenact his humble service of foot washing. This will be a joint service with the Tamil Christian Church.
Good Friday Worship will take place at 10 am this Friday. Our Choir and guest musicians will lead us in this somber service of remembering the suffering and death of Jesus. This will be a joint service with the Korean Wesleyan Church.
Men’s Breakfast will be served on Saturday morning at 8:30 am. Men of all ages are encouraged to attend for the good food and insightful conversation about the royal descendants of King David.
Easter Lily Memorials If you would like to order a memorial lily, please write your name on a giving envelope, along with the name of the person being remembered and your relationship to them. Place $10 in the envelope and drop this in the collection plate during the offering. All memorials will be printed on an insert in the bulletin next Sunday morning.
Easter Day our celebration of the Lord’s resurrection will begin at 10:30 am and include the Choir’s presentation of the cantata “The Tomb Is Empty Now.” Invite a friend to join you for this amazing hour of uplifting music and the life-giving Gospel.
