Japan

Missionary Robin White serves with Global Partners in the city of Nagoya, Japan. He recently wrote with the following update…

Hi Everyone!

Recently, we’ve been having some really productive conversations about the future of GLobal Partners’ ministry here in Japan. Please continue to pray for God’s leading with a couple of potential projects that will help us build a bigger platform here.

Christmas is popular, even here in Japan where it’s technically not even a holiday – let alone a religious tradition. This is a great opportunity for churches to reach out with the love of Jesus. We hosted three Christmas events; one in Gifu, another in the Nagoya Church, and of course a third one with my several English students. It is always a natural way to explain the love of God given to us through Jesus. On Christmas Eve I will be flying to Canada for a two-week vacation and visit with family in New Brunswick.

Thank you for your ongoing prayers and financial support. I hope you enjoy a beautiful Christmas celebration!

WKFM Today our children will learn more about the work of Hephzibah Ministries for Children. If you would like to give toward this vital Christian ministry, mark your gift “WKFM” and place it in the offering plate.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will begin tonight at 7pm. Join us for this sacred sharing of the Nativity Story and joyful music. God has sent His Son into our dark and confused world! A short time of dessert fellowship will follow the service.

Time to Pray continues to meet each Wednesday evening at 7pm. If you have a request or praise to share, please write it on a card from the pew rack in front of you. Place it in the church shaped box on the far right corner of the platform. Thank you.

Next Sunday we will welcome Revs. David & Olivia Phillips as our guests. This young couple are praying about planting a Wesleyan church in the southwestern section of Toronto. They will visit to share their calling and dreams for God’s new work in our city.

Thank You to all who joined in sharing music and love during the caroling outing last Friday evening. Please continue to remember our homebound members in your prayers. This group includes Rita Brown, Avis Burnette, Grant & Norma Miller, Dorothy Telesford & Cluster Williams.
