Markham

One of the local charities we support continues an amazing work for the lives of young mothers and their pre-born babies. This week we received a special invitation and update…

Dear Milliken Church Friends,

What an amazing year it has been here at the Markham Pregnancy Centre. We are excited to report that during 2016, the number of clients doubled. Our number of volunteers quadrupled. And our support here in the Markham community has grown exponentially. We praise God for this, and we want to tell you all about it.

Please accept this invitation to attend our Annual Breakfast Meeting on Saturday, February 25th at 9am at The Bridge Church of Markham (5440 Sixteenth Ave). Let Pastor Pryor know if you can join us – this will help us know how many to expect from Milliken Church! There is no charge to attend, but all donations are appreciated and will assist the ministry in 2017.

Please continue to pray for our work. The lives of many women and babies are blessed as you partner with us. Hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,

Janice Russell, Director

Evening Prayer Service Gather with us at 6:30pm tonight as we pray together for the needs of the church. Find God’s encouraging presence and power for your situation as we pray together.

Looking Forward Our program ministry directors and staff will share their plans for the spring and summer months here at Milliken Church this Saturday morning (February 18th). Come to the Fellowship Room at 9:45am as we begin with some leadership training. See what God is doing in the life of our church!

Special Appeal During the coming weeks a high school student from one of our sister churches in eastern Ontario will be moving to the Toronto area as he continues his studies in the area. He is in need of a place to rent during the school year. If you have a bedroom or studio apartment that he could rent, please speak with Phil Farrell to learn more. Thank you.

Mid-Winter Love Feast Next Sunday after the morning worship service, we will share in an all-church potluck and love feast. Bring sandwiches to share with the soup our Social Committee will provide. You will enjoy this sacred fellowship and time of sharing.
