Christmas Sunday

God has kept His promise to send a Savior to earth. All creation stands in wonder that the Lord has incarnated Himself in human form. God identifies with us now, in every vulnerability and struggle. Let the world rejoice and be glad. We pray that you will experience the wonder of God’s presence, in Jesus, as we worship today.

Our Sympathies extend to the family of Sister Enid Wilson who passed away last Tuesday morning at Scarborough Grace Hospital. Arrangements will be as follows: Visitation on Friday, January 3rd from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Ogden Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, January 4th at 11:30am at Milliken Church. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the church in lieu of flowers. Please continue to remember the family in your prayers this week. Thank you.

Thank You for your generosity in our Christmas Eve Offering last Tuesday evening. These funds will provide greatly needed assistance and encouragement to the staff and volunteers serving at this life-saving mission. If you would like to give toward this worthy project, please mark your envelope “KWH” and place it in the collection plate.

Church Office Closure Please note that our church office will be closed on Wednesday, New Years Day. If you have a pastoral need, you may reach Pastor Cymone at 647-447-1714 or Pastor Axel at 416-578-2208.

2020 Offering Envelope Sets are now available to those currently using this system. If you would like to begin using this method of giving, please speak with Sathi Selliah today.

Ryerson University

Evangelist Jessica Barnett serves with Power to Change in downtown Toronto at Ryerson. Last week she write with an update…

Greetings Milliken Church Family,

We needed our semester with a focus on missions; local and global. It was encouraging to see my discipleship group of new believers share some social time just before they dove into an intense week of exams – and invite non-Christian friends to fellowship with us. One of our goals is for this group of young Christians to see themselves on mission together. They have captured that well. Now that the semester is over, please pray that our students will continue to live missionally; with their friends and family and neighbours.

Henry (my husband) and I have applied to go back to Morocco for a six week mission trip in the late spring. Pray that we will be able to go and help our Canadian students share the Gospel as they also visit. Finally, we want you to know that last month we welcomed our second child into the world. We named her Janiyah, which means “God is gracious.” So I am now on maternity leave again, but will continue to send updates from Ryerson, so that together we can pray for God’s great work to continue there. Thank you for all your encouragement and support.

– Jess
