Special Presentation Come to the gym immediately following this morning’s worship service. Two of the groups who rent our facility will give a brief presentation of their ministry in celebration of the Chinese new year. You will also receive a free gift that you can give as a Christian blessing to your friends of Chinese heritage!

Reading Music Class Tomorrow will begin the next six weekly sessions for anyone who wants to learn how to read and share the joy of music. Speak with Pastor Pryor or Pastor Cymone if you are interested to participate. Each Monday afternoon session begins at 1pm in the Fellowship Room.

Time to Pray Each Wednesday evening we gather to pray for the needs of the congregation and community. If you have a request or praise that we can remember, please write it on one of the Information Cards in the pew rack in front of you. Place the completed form in the small church-shaped box on the front, right corner of the platform. All requests will be remembered.

Bible Storytelling Class Want to be a better storyteller to the children and grandchildren in your life? Join us at 10am this Saturday and improve your ability to share God’s words with young people. Please sign up at the Information Desk. Thank you.

Ryerson University (Toronto)

Evangelist Jessica Barnett serves with Power to Change Ministries on the campus of Ryerson. She wrote recently with an update…

Dear Milliken Church,

After several weeks with a viral infection I am so grateful to be feeling better. And thank you for your prayers that sustain both me and my family. Two weeks ago, a new semester started on campus. We held our first meeting for the year with our active students. We invited them to consider a big goal: that no student graduate from Ryerson without the opportunity to hear the life-changing message of Jesus!

I also had an opportunity to share with a student this past week. He told me that he goes to a church, but does not consider himself a Christian. He even asked me to explain the fall of humanity from Genesis. Pray for Ronnie – that God will draw him to grasp and accept truth.

This past week we started our discipleship groups. One group helps students explore central issues of the Christian life, including reading the Bible, sharing Christian faith, recognizing the Holy Spirit moving in your life, and some basic apologetics. This can help students process and apply the Gospel to their lives. Pray for the students in our groups. As they learn and grow in their relationship with God, it can outflow to others and influence them as well.

Thank you for your continued prayers and interest in this work. And thank you for your help as I continue to raise support for this ministry, part-time.

God bless you all in this new year.

Jess
