Myanmar (Burma)
Evangelist Myint Maung is in the middle of yet another ministry trip to his homeland of Burma. He sends the following update…
Dear Milliken Church Family,
Praise the Lord for what He is doing here in Myanmar. I am traveling with a team of medical workers in the Mon State of Burma. It is located on the southern peninsula of our country. Last week we visited a home for orphans just outside of a town. This facility is managed by a Christian believer named Dayel. He protects and provides for these children – helping them experience the love of Jesus. This ministry is called “New Generation.” In our culture this title means that growth and good life “generate” in this place.
During our time here I shared the Gospel with the orphans. Please pray that this orphanage will be protected and blessed by the Lord. There are very few Christians in this area. But as we show care for people – especially those who are abandoned or devalued by others, we do the Lord’s work! Imagine how powerful it will be when this group of children grows up to live for God! They could change their town and the whole Mon State for the Gospel!
Please also pray for me as I spread the Good News in this land. I am so glad to have the support of you, my home church family.
