Kingdomtide

During these weeks the Church around the world seeks God’s glory and powerful presence to renew the earth. The color green on our altar table reminds us that Christ’s Kingdom continues to grow. We pray that you will choose to enter His blessed Kingdom as you worship with us.

E.P.I.C. (Everyone Participating in Church) continues this morning and will include our Wesleyan Kids for Missions Moment.  Children, parents, and the young in heart are all encouraged to move to the front of the Sanctuary for this portion when we hear and sing the Epic theme song played.  Enter into this joyous way of hearing the Lord speak to you!

Welcome Rev. Santes Beatty Today in worship we welcome the Director of Multi-Cultural Ministries for the Wesleyan Church as our guest speaker.  Rev. Beatty encourages congregations across North America to reach out to their neighbours, across cultural differences, to share the love of Christ.  Please take a moment to greet him following the worship service today.

Thanksgiving Dinner at HCCH Tomorrow is our annual time of service to the residents at Hagerman Corners.  Speak with Pat Pitre or Pastor Pryor today if you can assist in serving.

The Fall Colours Bus Day-Trip will soon depart!  It takes place just eight days from now – on Monday, October 15th.  The cost is $95 per person.  Reserve your seat today with a $40 deposit at the Information Desk today.  More detail are available from Satie Pokhai.

Halloween Supercharged will take place here in our church parking lot and gym on Halloween night (October 31st) from 5pm until 8pm.  And we are seeking both candy donations and volunteers to assist with the carnival-style activities that night.  Speak with Pastor Cymone to learn how you can help.

Markham Pregnancy Centre

Last week we received an encouraging update from the local pregnancy centre, and its ministry here in our city…

Dear Friends,

Let me share what has been happening here at the centre.  I’ve got nothing but good news: this summer was an awesome and busy one.  We have been growing rapidly this year, with over 77 clients being cared for in July & August alone – all of whom are choosing to deliver before the year’s end!  Praise the Lord!

Along with supporting a number of current and new clients this past summer, it was our first time ever to run our Moms & Tots program twice each month, with an average attendance of five moms and their children, amidst volunteer and staff vacation times.  God was sure gracious!  We have now surpassed 100 clients being cared for in many ways.

With increasing needs of our growing client base, we were able to launch a second Moms & Tots group at the beginning of this month.  We were also able to introduce a new 10-week prenatal program, and we’re expecting 13 babies due by the end of December.  What a great gift to be receiving.  We here are the centre are looking forward to each new life God is giving.

We are always looking to grow our Practical Support Volunteer Team in order to support the growing needs of our clients and the Centre.  Would you consider volunteering three hours of your morning or afternoon on any day between Tuesday and Friday?  For more information, visit our website: mscpc.ca  Or reach out to us via email: info@mscpc.ca   We would be honored to include you in this ministry we offer in the life-giving name of Jesus.

Thank you for all your continual support, in prayers, giving and donations.  Without it, we would not be able to meet the growing needs of our clients.

God bless you.

Sincerely,

Janice Russell
