Kingdomtide

During these weeks the Church around the world seeks God’s glory and powerful presence to renew the earth. The color green on our altar table reminds us that Christ’s Kingdom continues to grow. We pray that you will choose to enter His blessed Kingdom as you worship with us.

Ryerson University

Evangelist Jessica Barnett is a ministry leader with Power to Change Ministries on the Ryerson University campus. She called this week to provide an update…

Dear Milliken Church Family,

Another school year has begun and we are glad for what the Lord is drawing together. Last week on campus we set up a booth during Club Day. Many students stopped by to see what a Christian group is all about. Some of them have a Christian heritage. Some did not. We also received many e-mails from students who have learned about our work and want to learn more. A few even knew about us because their Grade 12 Guidance Counsellors told them about us while they were in Grade 12. Praise the Lord!

Later this month, our campus group will host a Fall Retreat at a campground in the region. Please pray that many students will choose to attend. We find that both Christians and non-Christians sign up for this. During the time there, we will share the Gospel and help the students learn how they can grow in their spiritual life – while they are growing academically. They will be taught what it means to live as a Christian believer on campus and how to share their personal testimony for Christ.

Although I am still on maternity leave, I continue to take appointments with students for spiritual counsel and prayer. Our daughter, Jaelle, is now 9 months old. And in December, my full-time work at Ryerson will resume. Please pray for us as Henry continues to raise ministry support. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.

May God bless you in your Kingdom work.

Sincerely, Jessica
