Ryerson University

Evangelist Jessica Barnett serves with Power to Change Ministries on the campus of Ryerson University here in Toronto. She recently wrote with an update…

Dear Milliken Church,

One of the books we use to help students find Christ was written by Nabeel Qureshi. It is titled Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus. Last summer, while we were still oversees with the Desert Rain Mission, I gave a copy of this book to my friend, Heeba. She showed it to her boyfriend and he wanted to read it too. Sometime after that, they stopped seeing each other and she was never able to get the book back. We’re sending her another copy, but please pray for Heeba – and others like her who are very curious about who Jesus is!

This month our students at Ryerson University finished another semester, and many have now departed on summer mission trips. Some have gone to the Desert Rain Mission where we served for two years! Please pray for our students as they share the Gospel in this place. Others of our Ryerson students have gone to Denmark and Peru, also on Gospel missions. Pray for them as well. We look forward to the new courage and power these students will after the Lord uses them in three very different lands and cultures.

We know they will bring great encouragement and zeal back to Ryerson when they return in the fall. God bless you all.

– Jess
