Burma (Myanmar)

Today we welcome Rev. Myint Maung as he visits us again. During our worship together, he will share an update on his evangelistic ministry to his homeland of Burma (Myanmar). Brother Myint spends several months each year traveling, preaching, and discipling believers in the central and southern provinces of Myanmar. He also brings the hope and love of Christ to Burmese people living along the Thai border in refugee camps.

Please continue to pray for this hope-giving ministry. If you would like to give financially to support the ministry, mark your envelope “Burma” and place it in the collection plate during the offering. Brother Myint is also seeking the assistance of a coworker who can travel with him to Myanmar and assist with the administrative work of this ministry.

Pray that the Lord will call and raise up a person to serve in this way. Perhaps you will be that person! God bless you for your ongoing interest and support.

Father’s Day Barbecue is today after the worship service. Stay with us after the service for this time of excellent food and great fellowship.

Tai Chi for Beginners can start your summer with a new healthy habit. During these months our Tai Chi group will begin at 7 pm each Tuesday evening. Discover how this low-impact form of stretching and exercises can improve your flexibility and overall health.

The Central Canada District Worship Service will take place this Friday (June 23rd) 7 pm at the Centennial Road Church in Brockville. Come be inspired along with hundreds of fellow Wesleyan Christians as we learn how God is working across the district. Rev. H.C.Wilson, the National Director of the Wesleyan Church of Canada will also share.

Graduation Sunday Next Sunday we will celebrate the five young people in our church graduating from high school and university. They will lead us in our morning worship service. We will also celebrate them in a reception that follows the service. Plan to stick around to offer your words of encouragement and congratulations.
